Carl Perry's Personal Page

Welcome to my personal page!

More Photos can be found at my Club Photo Site

I thought I'd create my own page since I had my students do the same.

I am currently teaching at Tarrant County Junior College on the South Campus in Ft. Worth, Tx. I usually teach Visual Basic and Internet Programming. I also teach several classes for Continuing Education as they need me.

Here I am on Lake Worth.
I race my boat, a Ranger Fun 23, (I created a Fun 23 Site, Click Here) all year round, usually singlehanded at the
Lake Worth Sailing Club.
I also race a Sunfish and have been known to even race it in January. Here I am at the 1997 Frostbite Race in January. It was about 45 degrees but sunny and light winds. The next year, it was about 45 again but blowing 20-25 knots. I came in third from a fleet of 12 boats. I was the only one in a Sunfish.

Here's the compass on my boat. Maybe this is why I never win!

When I'm not teaching or programming, (which is not very often!), I can be found on my boat or playing the 6 or 12 string or classical guitars or working on my land.

My wife and I bought 23 acres of land just north of Hillsboro, Tx. It is just off I-35W near Exit No.3. We hope to move there in a few years. I am building a barn that may become our house. Here's a recent photo of it. If finished completely, it would make a 2000 sq. ft. house. My plan is to finish out the upstairs first, then maybe finish out the downstairs back half for living space. The front half would be for workshop space. The first photo is the front and the second if the back. I still have some siding to put on the back and then also to build the downstair's and upstair's decks.

I recently acquired two registered Clydesdale horses. (Long story on how that came about). We renamed our girls Tasha and Page. Here's Tasha, which used to be my horse and the one that threw me giving me a broke arm back.

My goal is to live on my land without a house payment and I think I can do it!! My wife is planting a pecan orchard and will help Greyhounds Unlimited by keeping greyhounds in the kennel we'll build. I'll continue working (programming) in the quiet of the country and teaching part time. As long as I can stay connected, I can work anywhere!

By the way, one last photo.... my daughter Mandy
